The Death of the Password

Are passwords passé? It’s starting to seem like it. Everybody hates them, and nobody can remember all the ones they’ve created. These days a typical netizen has dozens of online accounts. If you really want to be safe, you need to have a different password for each one, and each password needs to be incredibly complicated, with a mix of capital letters, symbols, and numbers. Who can keep all that stuff in their head?

 Most people don’t bother. Some just make up one password and use it everywhere. Others might have a few passwords—one for all their banking and financial stuff, one for their social networks, one for email. Problem is that if one site gets hacked, the bad guys now have the password that you use elsewhere. These hacks are happening so frequently these days that you might as well assume there is no way to keep a password secret.

Someone, somehow, needs to come up with something radically different—and radically better—than what we have today.

My one Time Life Task....!!!

Sunday, September 19, 2010   Thiruvananthapuram - Bangalore : The Fastest Route  In My cell Phone my task alarm was ringing aloud, disturbing a busy schedule at my work, but I was happy and excited to get up from my desk even though it was only 12.30 in the afternoon. A totally unexpected road trip is in the offing. By 1.15 PM, I found myself behind the wheels, enjoying the feel good fragrance of a new ride. The owner of this machine, my self, was sitting behind the wheel, just taking a note on the route to take. The 1086cc petrol mill was pulling me ahead and the smooth power delivery and brilliant engineering of Hyundai ensuring that passengers are having a dream time inside. The destination was Bangalore, a good 717 Kms away from where I cranked the machine in the afternoon.  The route which i know is the NH 47 route. which could take almost 14 hours to reach my destination.
